Infra development in DavNor, scaled up

DAVAO DEL NORTE, 25 March (PIA) --Roads and other support Infrastructure development in Davao del Norte are noted to have scaled up as both the national and the provincial governments have poured substantial funds. Guesting during the latest edition of radio program Pakigsayod Serbisyo Alang sa Katawhang Pilipino,  Regional Information Officer Dean Ortiz of the Department of Public  Works and Highways (DPWH) and Provincial Engineering Officer, Engr Glen Olandria shared some details of this  infrastructure development. Ortiz revealed that over the last five years including this year, the province of Davao del Norte alone has been  given an accumulated budget of P22.35 billion from the national government for the implementation of 1,487 infrastructure projects. DAVAO DEL NORTE, Mar. 23 (PIA) -- Davao del Norte will be the recipient of more infrastructure and road network projects from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) under the Build, Build, Build Program. This year, the province will have infrastructure and road projects worth P4.631B from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) with over 192 projects now being implemented, said DPWH XI Information Officer Dean I. Ortiz in a radio interview today (Mar. 23). Ortiz also said that this budget will increase given that "we are still in the first quarter of the year." DavNor registers 860,711 individuals for PhilSys National ID

DAVAO DEL NORTE, Mar. 9 (PIA)-- As of March 7, 2022, there are 860,711 residents in Davao Del Norte that have registered for the National Identification System. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Davao Del Norte Chief Statistical Specialist, Pepito D. Amoyen, compared the data to the 2020 Census of Housing and Population (CPH) to get the number of the remaining unregistered residents and presented it in his radio guesting today (Mar. 9). “As of the 2020 CPH, there are 1,155,057 residents in Davao Del Norte and the current number of those who registered for the National ID is only 860,711. This means that there 256,346 unregistered in the province which PSA is targeting to register as soon as possible,” Amoyen explained. DavNor pioneers BP2P implementation

DAVAO DEL NORTE, Mar. 4 (PIA) -- The Provincial Government of Davao Del Norte pioneered the implementation of the national government's program dubbed as "Balik Probinsya-Bagong Pag-asa (BP2P) Program" to facilitate its residents who would like to return to the province amidst the pandemic.  14 drug reformists graduate from DavNor's KKDK Program

DAVAO DEL NORTE, Feb. 22 (PIA) -- A total of 14 persons who used drugs (PWUDs) graduated from the Katawhan Kontra Droga sa Komunidad (KKDK) Program of the Provincial Government of Davao Del Norte, a community-based rehabilitation process for people convicted of pushing or using illegal drugs. After the first batch of 25 drug reformists who graduated from the KKDK Program last year, 14 individuals finished their rehabilitation process at the Balay Silangan Reformation Center as the second batch of graduates from the said program. These 14 drug reformists are those convicted of drug use or selling whose request for a plea bargaining agreement was approved by their respective trial courts. DavNor's KAAGAPAY Program backs BP2P

DAVAO DEL NORTE, Feb. 18, 2022 (PIA) -- Apart from the various sources of financial and livelihood assistance supporting the Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa (BP2P) Program of the national government, the Kawsa sa Agrikultura ug Panginabuhian sa Barangay (KAAGAPAY) Program of the Province of Davao Del Norte is also backing the BP2P beneficiaries in the province. The KAAGAPAY Program is a livelihood and food-sufficiency flagship program of Provincial Governor Edwin I. Jubahib's administration backed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Members. It was established to support the residents of the province with their daily needs as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to surge. LGUs in DavNor kick off vaxxing 5-11 yrs old

DAVAO DEL NORTE, Jan. 4 (PIA) -- The Provincial Government of Davao Del Norte sent help to the affected residents of Surigao City after Typhoon Rai locally named Odette struck the city and its neighboring municipalities. More than 400 coops in DavNor surviving amid pandemic

DAVAO DE NORTE, Oct. 21 (PIA) -- More than 400 registered cooperatives in Davao Del Norte strive to make their organizations continue to survive in the midst of the pandemic. UK and South Africa COVID19 variants detected in DavNor

DAVAO DEL NORTE, June 25 (PIA) – Two COVID19 variants first found in the United Kingdom and South Africa have recently been detected in the province. In a press release dated June 23, 2021, the Department of Health (DOH) has reported that there is 1 case of Alpha and 6 cases of Beta COVID19 variants in Davao del Norte. The Alpha variant is known as the “B.1.1.7” variant first found in the United Kingdom in November 2020 while the Beta variant is the “B.1.351” variant first found in South Africa in October 2020. The Alpha COVID19 case in the province is a 38-year-old asymptomatic male who is currently admitted in one of the province’s isolation facility. For the 6 cases of Beta COVID19 cases, 3 of them are a 28-year -old male who was asymptomatic, a 20-year-old female and a 22-year-old male who both experienced mild symptoms.
