DAVAO CITY, Jan. 14 (PIA)—The head of the Integrated Gender Development Division and and Enforcement Cluster admitted that the use of DQR codes is wanting. Lorna Mandin, chief of the IGDD and Prevention and Enforcement Cluster said that there are penalties in the City Ordinance requiring the use of DQR codes but arrest and penalties are no longer enough in demanding compliance. She stressed that the measure will be more sustainable if everyone is responsible by complying the minimum public health standards like wearing correctly the face masks, hand hygiene using soap, water and alcohol and social distancing. Mandin observed that ironically, many people have deactivated their cellular phones and go to establishments which do not apply QR codes for tracing. She told the Davao City Disaster Radio that there are establishments which only scan upon entry but no longer scan the QR code when going out.
