NGCP exerts effort to restore power soonest time possible

DAVAO CITY, Feb. 14 (PIA) ---- The National Grid Corporation  of the Philippines (NCGP) aims to complete at the soonest possible time, the restoration of power lines  felled and destroyed by the devastating blow of Typhoon Odette as it crossed Mindanao and Visayas in December 2021.   Guesting during the recently held regional Kapihan sa PIA aired  thru One Davao Presser,  NGCP Communications Officer Milfrance “Bambie” Q. Tagum Rotarians, Tagum Coop haul P2 million relief for Odette victims

DAVAO DEL NORTE, 21 Jan (PIA)— Tagum City-based Rotary Clubs and Tagum Coop recently pooled together their resources to haul PhP2 million worth of  assorted assistance to Typhoon Odette victims in Surigao City.   In a report posted online by the Rotary Club of Tagum Golden L.A.C.E.S (Ladies in Action Committed to Effective Service), two-winged vans hauled relief packs of rice canned goods, noodles, mineral waters, tarpaulins and blankets.  Rotary Club of  Tagum North also  formed part  of  Tagum City-based Rotarians involved in  the relief distribution.   Conducted early January 2022, the Tagum Coop and Rotary Club outreach benefited 2,850 families in 14 barangays of Surigao City. DavNor sends relief ops team to Surigao City

DAVAO DEL NORTE, Jan. 4 (PIA) -- The Provincial Government of Davao Del Norte sent help to the affected residents of Surigao City after Typhoon Rai locally named Odette struck the city and its neighboring municipalities. The Davao Del Norte Team brought relief goods worth P3M on December 29, 2021, Wednesday, despite the bad weather. Davao Del Norte Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Division headed by Glenda Delideli together with personnel from the Davao Del Norte  Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Fevelyn Marfe and Gigi Cacacho turned over 1,115 sacks of rice and 100 boxes of canned sardines to the City Mayor Ernesto "Estong" Matugas. The local government of Surigao City immediately distributed the relief goods to every barangay using their vehicles. BFP Panabo dispatches personnel to help CARAGA Region's clearing ops

DAVAO DEL NORTE, Dec. 21 (PIA) -- The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Panabo City dispatched personnel to Caraga Region to augment the workforce assigned in the clearing operations on Typhoon Odette's devastation. A total of nine (9) fire officers under the BFP Special Rescue Force were sent yesterday, December 20, 2021. In the initiative of BFP - Panabo City Fire Chief Director Louie S. Parangan, supported by the BFP XI Regional Director CSUPT Sydney C.  Besana, nine (9) members of the BFP Special Rescue Force were directed to help the clearing operations in some parts of Caraga Region after Typhoon Odette laid waste and casualties. Davao City sends medical-rescue contingent to Bohol

DAVAO CITY, Dec. 20 (PIA)- The City Government of Davao has sent an Emergency Response Team to the Municipality of Ubay, Province of Bohol to help in the rescue and relief efforts in the aftermath of Typhoon Odette. The 106-person team came from the City Health Office, Davao City Central 911's Emergency Medical Sevices (EMS), Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), Fire Auxiliary Services (FAS), doctors from the Southern Philippines Medical Center, and social workers from City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).   The team is headed by Davao City 911 chief Emmanuel Jaldon. They departed on Sunday (Dec. 19) at the Davao International Airport. Davao City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio was present to send-off the contingent.
