DAVAO CITY Oct. 25 (PIA)- The City Government of Davao has adjusted the liquor ban to 1:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. instead of the 24-hour ban on alcoholic drinks. Executive Order 59 Series of 2021 however states that consumption of alcohol shall only be on private properties. Under of SECTION 2 of EO 59 the following are not allowed: * The serving of liquor for consumption in bars, restaurants, sari-sari stores, palengke (wet market), videoke, and other business establishments;
* Drinking liquor in all public places including but not limited to streets, alleys, pathways, and outside of gates.
The order shall take effect on October 26 to January 15, 2022. The new guidelines repeals EO 32 which extended the 24-hour liquor ban in the City from August 3, 2021 to December 31, 2021.
