Customers lining up at a pharmacy in Davao City DAVAO CITY- The Philippine Pharmacists Association (PPhA) of Davao has issued a statement debunking alleged reports on the shortage of Paracetamol and medicines for flu-like symptoms. In a statement the association said while there is an apparent out-of-stock situation on specific brands of these medicines, due to rise on demand, there are still available alternative branded or generic medicines for public consumption. The PPhA also advised the public not to hoard these medicines as to ensure access to all. “Further we urge the public to be vigilant on the proliferation of fake medicines from opportunistic illegal sellers. If you are privy to any related information please report it to the Food and Drug Administration (Telephone No. 295-2904),” reads the PPhA Davao statement. (PIA/ RG Alama)
