DAVAO DE ORO, November 4 (PIA) - - A total of 834 persons deprived of liberty (PDL) in Davao de Oro have availed of Alternative Learning System (ALS) education and skills training through the Eskwela sa Selda or Eskwelda. Launched in 2019, the Davao de Oro Provincial Youth Development Council reached out to 804 persons housed in Montevista District Jail, and 30 persons in Provincial Rehabilitation Center. Janice Clarion, provincial youth development officer, bared in an interview that the provincial government allocated PhP 2 million for the financial assistance of the learners worth PhP 2,000 each.
