Davao City’s Croc Park open for drive-thru vaccination

DAVAO City January 11(PIA)—The spokesperson of the COVID-19 in Davao City bared that the Crocodile Park is now open for drive-thru booster vaccination.   Dr. Michelle Schlosser, spokesperson of the COVID-19 Task Force said that starting today vaccination booster shots will be offered for drive-thru at the Crocodile Park for A1, A2, A3, A4 and A5.    She said it is like walk-in for drive thru.   Schlosser said the vaccinee may bring DQR code, vaccine card and ballpen.   “The drive thru is good for cars but not for trisikads.   We will consult first if tricycles and motorcycles are allowed to give way to middle class families,” she said.  Schlosser said they are already sending samples for genome sequencing to Manila for bio-surveillance and in time, Davaoeños will be briefed on the kind of variants dominating here in Davao City.   She said the city has prepared for the surge through swabbing, contact tracing, and quarantine.  “We have exerted our efforts by ten times more that why we do

Health workers first to get COVID19 booster

DAVAO CITY, November 17 (PIA) – Essential workers in frontline health services in Davao Region are set to receive COVID-19 booster doses. Department of Health XI Assistant Regional Director Lenny Joy Rivera confirmed that the regional office has just received the guidelines and the office is now in the process of planning and finalizing the roll out of the administration of the booster dose to the essential workers in frontline health services. The Department of Health issued a guidelines that Priority Group A1 shall receive a single dose of COVID-19 vaccines as a booster dose, either a homologous or a heterologous dose, at least six months after completion of the primary dose series or the first and second dose of vaccines such as Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Sinovac, Gamaleya, and AstraZeneca COVID19 vaccines; and at least 3 months after completion of Janssen COVID19 vaccine.
