DAVAO DEL NORTE, March 04 (PIA)--- More than 30 former members of the New Peoples Army (NPA) have reaped the benefits of returning to the folds of the law as they receive livelihood and cash assistance given through Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) of the government. In a turnover ceremony this morning, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), handed over a total of P1.8 million cheques to 28 former NPAs and three Militia ng Bayan members while also turning over some P441,000 worth of reintegration funds to military and police units which had taken care of them during their transition stay from the underground communist terrorist movement.
