She also requested them to bring back to the folds of the law their family members and relatives who remain working with the communist terrorist group.
In an interview, she cited the turnover of assistance as conducive to building back the vibrance of the local economy of barangays as insurgency has been addressed with the return of the former rebels back to mainstream society.
“Ang pagbalik sa mga kanhing rebelde naga solve sa insurgency ug nakatabang sa peace and order. Mamahimong conducive sa business ug agriculture ang atong mga lugar, (The return of these former rebels will solve the insurgency and help in the peace and order, it will make the place conducive for business and agriculture).” she said in brief interview.
Meanwhile, she noted as “successful” the progress of Barangay Development Program (BDP) implementation at barangay levels nationwide as infrastructures identified by barangay themselves, are seen set in place to address their respective needs.
Citing the relative progress of project implementation of BDP in insurgency-cleared areas, she expressed optimism that the next national administration would be convinced to sustain such program to safeguard grassroots communities from again falling into the influence of insurgency.
