DAVAO CITY, Jan 24 (PIA)- The Bakuna Booster by the Sea (BBBTS) concluded on Sunday (Jan. 23) with 3,279 people vaccinated inside the picturesque vaccination site. The BBBTS started ran from Jan. 12 to 16 and Jan. 19 to 23. It was held at the Garden Pavillion of the Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao. This seaside vaccination program is the continuation of the much heralded Bakuna by the Sea (BBTS) held last year to vaccinate tourism industry workers in the city. Last year’s BBTS vaccinated over 14,000 tourism workers in the city. The original BBTS won the third place in the Pearl Awards for best tourism practice in the country. The Bakuna Booster by the Sea was opened to other sectors aside from the tourism industry sector in an effort to beef up the population with the anticipated surge brought about by Omicron variant. DAVAO CITY- The Bakuna Booster by the Sea is now open to more vaccinees from different sectors and will not just be limited to tourism and allied industry workers. “The vaccination site is open to all and will be accepting vaccinees from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.” Says Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao General Manager Jennifer Ricardo Romero. Renato Gatchalian, president of the Davao Tourism Association which is co-organizing the vaccination site together with the City Government of Davao and Waterfront Insular Davao said they are targeting 10,000 people to be booster vaccinated at the Bakuna Booster by the Sea. “Originally it was for tourism and allied industry, right now we will be opening it to all,” Gatchalian said. DAVAO CITY, Jan. 10 (PIA)-   The Bakuna by the Sea gets another much-needed sequel as Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao will open its doors for Bakuna Booster by the Sea starting January 12. The Bakuna Booster by the Sea aims to give booster COVID-19 vaccine shots to tourism and allied sector industry workers in Davao City, this amidst the present surge of COVID-19 cases and the presence of the Omicron variant in the country. The vaccination drive is organized by the Waterfront Insular Hotel, the City Government of Davao and the Davao Tourism Association composed of different tourism industry stakeholders in the city.
