 Tagum to take key role as dev’t, econ partner of Metro Davao LGUs  

DAVAO DEL NORTE --- Tagum City is seen to take a significant role as an economic and development partner of component local government units (LGUs) to the Metro Davao Development Authority (DMMA).   Tagum City Mayor Allan Rellon has visualized this banking on the geographic location of Tagum; its economic and development potential; and its existing facilities, infrastructure and services.   In an interview, Rellon said Tagum connects to key areas in Mindanao particularly to CARAGA Region, to Davao Oriental, to Valencia Bukidnon in Northern Mindanao and to the highly urbanized City of Davao.   In terms of connectivity and accessibility, Rellon said three  major national roads passes through Tagum City. Tagum City lights up its giant holiday tree

DAVAO DEL NORTE, Dec. 2 (PIA) -- The City Government of Tagum yesterday lit the tallest Christmas Tree in the country at 6:00 PM in the New City Hall Grounds, Barangay Apokon, Tagum City, Davao Del Norte. The Tagum City Christmas tree, which stands at 195 feet, still holds the tallest Christmas tree record in the country. With its strong foundation and beautiful decoration, residents of Tagum City and even from neighboring provinces always visit the holiday tree annually. Despite the restrictions on event gatherings brought about by the pandemic, a small lighting ceremony took place, strictly following the standard health protocols attended by city government officials and a few residents. 22 vax sites in Tagum City for Bayanihan Bakunahan

TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte—The City Government of Tagum has opened 22 vaccination sites for the three-day National Vaccination campaign with  the end goal of vaccinating a  total of 51,649 individuals. City Health Education Promotion Officer (HEPO) Rae Catherine Apura told PIA that the city government aims to achieve 17,216 jabbing daily from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1. After the kick-off rites at Tagum City Hall Atrium this morning (Nov. 29), Tagum City Mayor Allan Rellon dispatched all City Department Heads to see to it that targets are met and even surpassed. The city government  has  clinched agreements with malls, hospitals and schools aside from government facilities as sites of the 3-day national vaccination campaign Bayanihan Bakunahan. Higher prices for palay in Tagum City- CAGRO

DAVAO DEL NORTE, Oct. 27 (PIA) -- The City Agriculture Office (CAGRO) of the City Government of Tagum said it has addressed the problems of local rice farmers as it is now offering higher prices to local palays harvested, said Tagum City Agriculturist, Engr. Harold F. Dawa. In a radio program today, Dawa explained how the City of Tagum helped resolve the problems of the rice farmers in Tagum City. DAVAO DEL NORTE, Oct. 15 (PIA) - Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go visited the City of Tagum yesterday for the release of Aids to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) XI. Voters’ registration mobile app available to Tagumenyos

  DAVAO DEL NORTE, June 17 (PIA) – Tagum residents can now accomplish their voter’s registration through a mobile app called “Mobile Registration Form Application” created by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC). During the app’s launch at Atrium, New City Hall, Tagum City on June 15, COMELEC Commissioner Marlon S. Casquejo said that the mobile app “aims to enhance the voter registration experience amidst the pandemic.” With this app, Tagum registrants can fill out the application form using an android smartphone instead of the traditional pen and paper. When completed, a QR code will be generated and must be saved in the phone. To be officially registered, a registrant should bring the QR code to their nearest Office of the Election Officer (OEO) where the registrant can proceed straight to the biometrics section after the scanning of the QR Code as it contains the already completed application form.
