"Paglaum" documentary film from Davao Oriental DAVAO CITY- The 19 th Mindanao Film Festival will feature 71 short and full-length films that will be screened on the festival’s social media platform this December 6 – 13. Bulk of the films to be screen are made by Mindanaoan filmmakers. Around 53 short films are coming from Mindanao of which 35 are competition entries and 18 are non-competition films Also to be shown during week-long festival are films from Luzon and Visayas along with films from overseas. “We will be screening full-length films from Ukraine, Argentina, and Thailand then we have short films from Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Brazil,” says MFF Festival Manager Ivan Tadena. The jurors for this year’s MFF include Zamboanga filmmaker Zurich Chan, award-winning actress Fe Hyde and television and film director Wilfredo Manalang.
