Andanar with Don Marcelino Brgy Lapuan SK chair Yemar Gulo DAVAO CITY, Oct. 15 (PIA) – The Sangguniang Kabataan council of Barangay Lapuan in Don Marcelino town, Davao Occidental, has initiated a program that aims to promote active lifestyle and positivity among the youth amid the pandemic. Guesting in today’s episode of Laging Handa Network Briefing with Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, SK Chair Yemar Gulo said that the program is dubbed as LUGPAT or Learning Ultimate Games to Promote Active Lifestyle and Total Well-Being. Gulo explained that lugpat is coined from the Kaolo term (dialect of the Tagakaolo tribe) which means to jump. “So LUGPAT is an activity that will encourage the students to jump into a current set-up due to pandemic.” The program’s activities include information drive, teaching young children how to read, distribution of relief goods and clothes and giving of reading materials in the remote sitios of the coastal barangay of Lapuan.
