DAVAO CITY, Nov.2 (PIA)- The City Government of Davao has lifted the implementation on the use of barriers in motorcycles and public utility vehicles. Executive Order 63 series of 2021 lifts the requirement on the use of physical barriers on motorcycles and public utility vehicles and the use of such will be on voluntary basis. The LGU followed the recent Oct. 31 Department of Transportation announcement which lifts the requirement on the use of such barriers. However, PUV drivers are still required to observe health standards such as wearing of face masks and physical distancing of passengers in their vehicles. The City Government cited the need to ease restrictions amid the decreasing number of COVID-19 cases reported and the massive vaccination rollout in the City. As of Oct. 29, Davao City has achieved 66.48% of first dose and 61.45% of second dose of its target number of vaccination in the City. (PIA/RG Alama)
