DAVAO CITY, Oct. 22 (PIA) – The Philippine Statistics Authority Davao Occidental has already recorded 182,359 residents or 97 per cent of the 187,000 target population in the province, who have completed registration with the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) as of October 20, 2021. Davao Occidental Provincial Statistics Officer Jessie Madulin is hoping that the remaining 5,000 population targeted this year will register before the year ends. During his guesting in today’s Gobyernong Balitaan radio program of the Philippine Information Agency Davao Occidental on Energy FM Digos City, Madulin bared that the total registrants of the national ID system represents 57% of the total population (317,159) of the province. To ensure continuous registration of residents in far-flung barangays, the PSA official said that they are currently employing mobile registration in selected barangays.
