Face to face classes in 186 Davao Region schools suspended 

DAVAO CITY, Feb. 9 (PIA) – Department of Education (DepEd) XI Regional Director Dr. Allan Faranzo announced in the One Davao Virtual Presser that 186 schools in Davao Region temporarily suspended face to face classes which were supposedly scheduled to start last February 7. “ Handang-handa na sana ang 186 na paaralan dito sa Davao Region para sa face to face na klase na dapat sana ay nagsimula noong Pebrero 7.  Handa na sana ang mga ito batay sa pag-comply nila sa mga requirements at nagkaroon rin ito ng consultation at endorsement. Subalit sinusunod natin ang health alert level system na kapag Alert Level 3 ay automatic na suspended ang face to face classes,”  Dr. Faranzo said. Deped opens 5 schools in DDO for F2F classes

DAVAO CITY, Nov. 15 (PIA) - - The Department of Education (DepEd) opened on Monday, face-to-face classes in five schools in Davao de Oro. The identified schools are Bares Elementary School (Pagsabangan Extension), Parasan Integrated School, Lower Panansalan Elementary School (Jacinto Extension), Maugat Elementary School, and Digaynon Integrated School (Manurigao Extension).   Located in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas, the five schools are among the eight educational institutions in Davao Region that were allowed by DepEd for face-to-face classes. Davao City LGU in talks with DepEd for pilot face-to-face classes

DAVAO CITY, Sept. 21 (PIA) – Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte bared that the Department of Education Davao Region reached out to the local government to prepare for the pilot face-to-face classes in public schools. Announced in a radio interview earlier, the mayor shared that the LGU was asked to submit a list of public schools where face to face classes will be rolled out and which will be discussed in the city’s COVID-19 task force meeting. “ The agreement is out if 182 barangays, they will be ranked according to risk assessment and the last three barangays in terms of risk assessment will be selected for the pilot face to face and dili tanan schools didto sa ilang barangay (not all schools in their barangay) .
