DavNor to start vaccination for minors

12 year old Anthony Elorde, a pediatric vaccinee in Davao City DAVAO DEL NORTE, Oct. 28 (PIA) -- The Provincial Government of Davao Del Norte through its Provincial Health Office has announced that it will start pediatric vaccinations (ages 12-17 years old) starting November 3, 2021, for those who have pre-registered, said Provincial Vaccination Operation Center Head Dr. Eleanor Salva in an interview on Oct. 28.   In the news article released today by the One DavNor Network, the official media publication of the Provincial Information Communication and Knowledge Management Office (PICKMO) of Davao Del Norte, Dr. Salva discussed the requirements for the minors before getting inoculated.    Dr. Salva said that the pediatric vaccination is a nationwide mandate which will start on November 3. DavSur journalist shot dead

DAVAO CITY, Oct. 31 (PIA) – Media personality Orlando “Dondon” Dinoy was shot dead around 6:00 p.m. yesterday (Oct. 30, 2021) inside his rented apartment at Mother Ignacia Village in Brgy. Poblacion Uno, Bansalan, Davao del Sur.   According to the report of Bansalan Municipal Police Station, Dinoy sustained gunshot wounds on his body and that the firearm used by the culprit was .45 caliber.   The initial investigation report revealed that while the victim was inside his rented apartment, a certain boarder of the said apartment suddenly heard several gun bursts.   Another witness, a minor, heard more than six gun bursts and saw a male person with medium built body, wearing black cap, short pants and t-shirt near the victim’s room, who boarded a single motorcycle waiting outside the apartment.   The unidentified suspects fled to unknown direction, the Bansalan MPS report stated. Pediatric vaccination in Davao Region kicks off at SPMC

According to Department of Health –XI Regional Director Anabelle Yumang M.D. they are expecting 200 vaccinees for the initial pediatric vaccination at the SPMC.   A short and simple ceremony was held at the grounds of the SPMC. Davao Oriental adopts Alert Level System

DAVAO CITY, Oct. 27 (PIA)- The Provincial Government of Davao Oriental has adopted the National Inter Agency Task Force-mandated Alert Level System in dealing with COVID-19 cases in its jurisdiction.   The Alert Level System is the new community quarantine classification aimed at managing the virus thru certain system indicators, triggers and thresholds as determined by the IATF.   Under the Alert Level System, there will be five levels which would determine the appropriate response protocols.   Alert Level 1 - refers to areas wherein case transmission is low and decreasing, total bed utilization rate, and intensive care unit utilization rate is low. Alert Level 2 - refers to areas wherein case transmission is low and decreasing, healthcare utilization is low, or case counts are low but increasing, or case counts are low and decreasing but total bed utilization rate and intensive care unit utilization rate is increasing. Alert Level 3 - refers to areas wherein case counts are high and/
