DAVAO DEL NORTE, Mar. 9 (PIA)-- As of March 7, 2022, there are 860,711 residents in Davao Del Norte that have registered for the National Identification System.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Davao Del Norte Chief Statistical Specialist, Pepito D. Amoyen, compared the data to the 2020 Census of Housing and Population (CPH) to get the number of the remaining unregistered residents and presented it in his radio guesting today (Mar. 9).
“As of the 2020 CPH, there are 1,155,057 residents in Davao Del Norte and the current number of those who registered for the National ID is only 860,711. This means that there 256,346 unregistered in the province which PSA is targeting to register as soon as possible,” Amoyen explained.
He also discussed the reasons for the delays in the delivery of the IDs.
"Ako lang pod ipahibalo ang kanang process nga ginaagian nato kanang ginatawag ug standard verification. So bali ang ginahimo niini is the deduplication," (I would like to inform that the process we undergo for the national ID is called standard verification. Deduplication is being done here), Amoyen explained.
"Ang deduplication is to ensure nga ang atoang PhilSys numbers ug ang atoang info items is unique to each other individuals," (Deduplication ensures that all information a person provides is unique), he added.
"For example ikaw ang ika-58th million na naregistered i-dedup na imohang mga data against sa 57 Million. Ang pasabot ana is you against the 57 Million. Tanan nimng data, ibroswe sya ug tan-awon pod ang data sa uban pod nga 57 million basin kaduha ka nagparehistro. So mao na ang isa sa pinakadugay nato nga processing," (For example, you are the 58th million registrant, your information then will be run against the data of the 57 million other people to ensure that your data is unique and that you did not register twice), Amoyen's statement reads.
"After the deduplication, diha na ang assigning sa PhilSys Number kana atong ginatawag nga unique number nga system generated," (After the deduplication, you will be assigned with a unique number which is system-generated).
"Human ana, ipadala nana didto sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas kay ang nakatoka sa printing is ang printing office sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas," (After that, it will be transmitted to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for printing), explains Amoyen.
"Then after the printing, it will be transmitted to PhilPost kay sila napod ang nakatoka sa delivery of the ID. Paingon na sya didto sa Davao City Distirbution Center paingon sa mga different LGUs," (After the printing, it will be transmitted to the PhilPost because they were tasked to deliver the IDs. It will be delivered to the Davao City Distribution Center then to your LGUs), Amoyen explained.
"Kung gusto pod ninyo tan-awon ang status sa inyong ID. Pwede mo musulod sa PhilPost tracking. Then pangayoon ang numero sa transaction slip number mao to inyong i-enter didto sa PhilPost tracker. Either not found or History ang result ana. Kung not found wala pagyud na sya didto sa printing or kung history buot pasabot ginadeliver nana," (If you would like to track the status of the delivery of your IDs, you can check the PhilPost tracking system and input your transaction numbers in your transaction slips under your name. Two results might be given to you either "not found" or "history of transaction." If "not found" will appear, it means it was not sent for delivery yet, but if it's otherwise, then it will show the history of the delivery of your ID), he added. (PIA XI DavNor/jmda/Ezri M. DIGOS CITY, Mar. 31 (PIA) – Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner Aldrin A. Darilag has formally proclaimed Dr. Augie E. Fuentes as the first president of the Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) in the investiture rites held recently at the Davao del Sur Coliseum in Digos City. Dr. Fuentes has been appointed as DSSC president in 2020, but her appointment was made formal only last March 17 due to the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The formal proclamation highlighted the institute’s accomplishments ever since they started as a state college, and not anymore as a sister campus of the Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) of Malita in Davao Occidental. “Actually I would say that we are fortunate. Though we are young, though we are still around two-years old from the time we were launched, I say we are fortunate because we did not start from zero. We were a campus of SPAMAST such that there wer...
