Meanwhile the local government unit of Kapalong still exerts efforts to ease peoples' burden while the pandemic is still ongoing.

Timbol said that they were able to provide food assistance in six rounds. Another three rounds of food packs distribution were also made possible through the help of the provincial government.

"We are able to give, I think six times kami nakapagbigay. And with the help din ni Governor Edwin I. The local government of Kapalong also tapped national government agencies for cash assistance to its residents such as the Cash-for-Work Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program of the Department of Labor and Employment.

"At saka we access din po sa Cash-for-Work Program ng DSWD at TUPAD Program ng DOLE para yung mga heavily affected po talaga ng pandemic nabigyan po sila ng tulong ng national government, " (We also accessed the Cash-for-Work Program of DSWD and the TUPAD Program of DOLE to bring the help of the national government to them), Timbol explained.

Furthermore, it has also suspended the collection of rental fees on government-owned commercial spaces during the lockdowns and did not impose an increase on its business permits and license renewal fees.

"And yung time din po na yun, hindi rin po kami nagkolekta ng mga rentals sa mga pwesto na under po sa local government unit. Sa ngayon po, sa pagkuha ng mga business permits, di po kami nag-increase sa mga babayaran nila (And in those times, we suspended collection on rental fees on government-owned spaces.
