Davao Region to  hit 2nd round vax target




DAVAO CITY, Dec. 15 (PIA)--- Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles is confident that Davao Region would hit  the  newly set vaccination target for the second round of Bayanihan Bakunahan, having noted the overall effort forged in the 1st round made it beyond the latest target.

 

“We are very confident that on phase II maabot na nato ang target,” CORDS XI Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said during the One Davao Presser, referring to the 2nd round of  Bayanihan Bakunahan on Dec 20,21, 22.

 

Sama sa akong gi-ingon (like what I said) 128,000 ang highest daily (jab) for phase I.. and for phase II, Very doable ang target for phase II. Kaya na nato,” he added.

 

Noting the 128,919 one day peak in jabbing of Davao Region in the first round, Nograles is optimistic that the 100,788 new daily vaccination target will surely be achieved with the full support of local chief executives, health workers and private partners. 

 

Looking back, he cited the  “dramatic increase” in first dose  jabbing performance of Davao Region during the first round of Bayanihan Bakunahan.

 

Davao City’s first dose accomplishment went up to 91 percent from 78 percent; Davao de Oro 55 percent from 39 percent; Davao del Norte 70 percent from 48 percent; Dava del Sur 54 percent from 36 percent;  Davao Occidental 52  percent from 36 percent; Davao Oriental 66 percent from 51 percent.

 

Nograles said that Davao Region batted an overall increase of 71 percent in  terms of 1st dose vaccination performance during the first Bayanihan Bakunahan.

 

Meawhile, Nograles pitched a public call for everyone to get vaccinated as needed vaccines have already been deployed all over Davao Region.

 

“So dili na magduha-duha; dili na mag-delay.  As soon as possible please get vaccinated sa inyong 1st dose, kumpletohun Ninyo ang inyong 2nd dose aron mas maprotesyonan ninyo ang Inyong kaugalingon ug inyong mahal sa kinabuhi. Please get vaccinated,” he said (Jeanevive Duron Abangan, PIA XI)

Completed projects turned over to far-flung villages in DavSur

DAVAO CITY, Dec. 24 (PIA) – The provincial government of Davao del Sur has intensified its turnover of completed projects to provide convenience to the intended beneficiaries in the far-flung areas in the province.   Among the recently turned over was the covered space with stage worth P1,186,886.58 for the Sibulan National High School in the remote barangay of Sibulan in the municipality of Sta.
