DavSur provincial LGU targets over 130,000 inoculated on Bayanihan Bakunahan



DAVAO CITY, Nov. 25 (PIA) – The provincial government of Davao del Sur has targeted 134,866 individuals in the entire province to get inoculated during the “Bayanihan Bakunahan” National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign on November 29, 30 to December 1, 2021.

 

Davao del Sur Governor Marc Douglas IV Cagas has issued Executive Order No. 39 Series of 2021 on Monday (Nov. 22), enjoining all local government units and stakeholders in the province to support and participate in the three-day vaccination drive.

 

In the executive order, Cagas raised the importance of the provincial LGU’s full support to the national vaccination campaign to further accelerate the vaccination rollout and to achieve at least 70 per cent of its eligible population.

 

It aims to get a daily target of 44,962 vaccinees in the whole province during the period.

 

The following are the breakdown of the total target population per city/municipality: Bansalan -5,667; Digos City - 13,005; Hagonoy - 5,310; Kiblawan - 4,274; Magsaysay - 4,758; Malalag - 3,798; Matanao - 5,148; Padada - 1,878; Sta. Cruz - 8,436; Sulop - 3,348.

 

Under the EO, the governor also directs the local chief executives, partners and stakeholders to ensure the high quality COVID-19 vaccine immunization and that microplans are formulated to determine the local needs and gaps with corresponding budgetary support as necessary.

 

It is also ordered to ensure that adverse effect following immunization (AEFI) shall be managed accordingly and to be referred immediately to the nearest or higher facility.

 

Cagas has reminded to observe the proper disposal of wastes and minimum health protocols throughout the vaccination campaign. (PIA-XI/Carina L. Cayon)

More NPAs surrender in DavNor

Parents urged to register children to Safe Davao QR before vax

DAVAO CITY, February 22—(PIA) A local vaccine czar urged parents to register first their children aged five to eleven to the SAFEDAVAO QR before they can go to vaccine sites for inoculation. Dr. Josephine Villafuerte, Vaccination Cluster head of the city bared the registration to the SAFEDAVAOQR is crucial so that their children will be integrated in the local vaccination system. She said that the vaccination for children now is on its second phase, with three vaccination sites namely San Roque Elementary School in Barrio Obrero, Vicente Hizon Elementary School at Barangay Sasa and the Almendras gym. “Children can be vaccinated on these sites, whether they are walk-ins provided they have registered at the SAFEDAVAOQR,” Villafuerte said.
