DAVAO DEL NORTE, April 29 (PIA)--- Job, business and livelihood  opportunities  are at stake during the rollout of this year’s Labor Day in Davao del Norte.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Davao del Norte has enrolled three job fairs with Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) component and one job fair to mark the  2022 Labor Day.

Guesting during the  recent episode of Sayron Ta! Pakigsayod Serbisyo Alang sa Katawhang Pilipino,  DOLE Davao del Norte Labor and Employment Officer III Jennylyn Rosalinda said Panabo had set way ahead its Free  Labor Day TNK on April 29 (Friday).

Panabo Public Employment Services Office (PESO) expected about 20 local and overseas agencies to take part of the job fair with about 1,000 vacancies available for those looking for employment.

Panabo PESO also offer livelihood training on creative balloon making and perfume-making that can become business ventures while the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Davao del Norte will also be there to render business orientation.

Meanwhile, DOLE Davao del Norte and Tagum City Public Employment and Education Services Office along with other national line agencies, have tied up to stage the May 01 Labor Day Job Fair at  the NCCC Mall of Tagum.

Rosalinda said the 1,200 slots provided by DOLE for the May 01 Jobs Fair were already filled out early but she  said job-seekers can still register for the Mega TNK  of Tagum City set on May 05 at the Atrium of the City Hall of Tagum, during which about 50 local and overseas and local agencies, and business establishments are set to join.

The Municipal Government of Sto Tomas will also be staging at the Sto Tomas Gym, a “TNK for Tomasino” to offer not only employment, but also livelihood skills training and government services for residents.

“After the pandemic daghan man jud nawad-an trabajo. This job fair, trabaho negosyo kabuhayan is a venue to  hunt jobs,” Rosalinda said.

She said DOLE Davao del Norte under Provincial Director Angelina Talinting had requested participating agencies to hire on the spot, giving incentive to those who best fit of  the posted job requirements.

This year’s organized Job Fair TNK will sort of serve as one-stop-shop for job seekers as DOLE and PESO organizers are inviting other national line agencies such as Social Security System, PhilHealth, Land Transportation Office, DTI among others to join, she said.  (PIA XI/ Jeanevive Duron Abangan)
