Duterte Legacy Caravan held in Toril



DAVAO CITY, April 29 (PIA)—A total of 27-line agencies of the government participated in the Duterte Legacy Caravan dubbed as convergence of all agencies, with the theme, “Pagkakaisa ng mga mamamayan at Pamahalaan tungo sa Pagbabago, Pagkakaisa at Kaunlaran” in Barangay Toril, Gym, Davao City where they highlighted the services to the Filipino people.


In his welcome address, Police Brig. General Benjamin Silo Jr., director of the Police Regional Office XI recognized the effort of the government agencies in carrying out the president’s guidance to reach out the services of the government especially to the far-flung area which serve as havens for communist rebels.


He reiterated President Rodrigo Duterte’s call during his first day of assumption as the leader of the country.  


“No leader no matter how strong he is, will succeed on issues that are of national concern, unless he has the support of people who are tasked to serve and to work with him,” Silo said.


He thanked the presence of ordinary people who have inspired the police to serve and protect, wherever they are in the country.


Silo said that the President’s term of office is about to end, and it is just right to acknowledge all good he has done to the lives of every Filipino and the country.


“We could never deny this, these changes are enjoyed by everyone now like a more peaceful and progressive Philippines,” he said. 


Interior and Local Government director Alex Roldan bared that the Duterte Administration serves an example to future governments to work together in addressing problems like drugs, insurgency, criminalities and disasters. 


“Working together at Hindi kanya-kanya,” he stressed. 


Police Lt. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia, deputy chief for administration of the Philippine National Police and focal person for the Duterte Legacy Caravan thanked the Duterte Administration for guiding the government in addressing the problems on drugs, criminality and terrorism. 


He said that on May 1, a Duterte Legacy Caravan will be featured in key cities like Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao highlighting the achievements of the Duterte Administration.  (PIA XI-Joey Sem G, Dalumpines)

Completed projects turned over to far-flung villages in DavSur

DAVAO CITY, Dec. 24 (PIA) – The provincial government of Davao del Sur has intensified its turnover of completed projects to provide convenience to the intended beneficiaries in the far-flung areas in the province.   Among the recently turned over was the covered space with stage worth P1,186,886.58 for the Sibulan National High School in the remote barangay of Sibulan in the municipality of Sta. Cruz.   An electrification project with 150-watt solar lights was also provided for the benefit of the barangay residents.   Governor Marc Cagas turned over the projects to the school teaching personnel represented by Isabelito F.
