MINDA Pushes for the Revival of MINDAComNet thru PIA



DAVAO CITY, Mar. 03 (PIA) - MINDA Deputy Executive Director Asec. Romeo Montenegro emphasized the need to jumpstart the priority projects in Mindanao with the stronger ties between the PIA as the communication arm of the government thru the revival of Mindanao Communicators Network (MINDAComNet).


In an online meeting held Monday, March 01, PIA Mindanao Regional Heads together with PIA Director General Ramon L. Cualoping III assured PIA's communication support to the MINDA's agenda in terms of social and health services, infrastructure and investments projects for the entire Mindanao.


“We look forward to not just strengthening our partnership but actually reviving the partnership that we’d had for the longest time,” DG Cualoping told as he opened up the possibility of partnership with MINDA.


“We look forward to a stronger partnership especially that the past six years we know that Mindanao has been at the forefront and the focus of our President and now at the tail end of his administration and we look forward to nurturing the foundation that have been laid by our beloved President Duterte as we bridge going to the next administration,” DG Cualoping added.


MINDA pushes for the development of priority advocacies and how it will continue to be implemented in anticipation of the new administration.


Asec. Montenegro said, “Through our partnership with PIA we can put together a head start moving towards a new administration. What we endeavor to accomplish the next two months before the new administration sets in is to be able to put together the unfinish Mindanao agenda”.


The Build, Build, Build project in Mindanao like the Davao- Samal Bridge, Mindanao Railway among other concerns were discussed and how to create a great impact at the National Level.


One of the agreements during the meeting will be the crafting of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will be formalized to strengthen the ties between PIA and MINDA and to jump start the activities and reviving the MINDAComNet. (PIA XI/Elvira Suico)

Completed projects turned over to far-flung villages in DavSur

DAVAO CITY, Dec. 24 (PIA) – The provincial government of Davao del Sur has intensified its turnover of completed projects to provide convenience to the intended beneficiaries in the far-flung areas in the province.   Among the recently turned over was the covered space with stage worth P1,186,886.58 for the Sibulan National High School in the remote barangay of Sibulan in the municipality of Sta. Cruz.   An electrification project with 150-watt solar lights was also provided for the benefit of the barangay residents.   Governor Marc Cagas turned over the projects to the school teaching personnel represented by Isabelito F.
