The video was shown during the recent  International Travel Festival held in Cebu City.

RD Rabat Tan said to prepare for the surge of tourists coming to Davao Oriental they will be discussing with the local government and the national government agencies to address their varied concerns.

“I think which is really important is to sit down with the various national agencies regarding sa mga concerns ng destination nila,” RD Rabat Tan said.

Also in the pipeline are trainings and capacity buildings for tourism stakeholders in the province.

“Since we have identified the priorities at least DOT level, the existing circuits, we will focus our trainings towards that for example in Davao Oriental is offering sun and beach we have to assess if there are life guards there maybe WASAR (Water Search and Rescue) trainings, disaster preparedness, Filipino brand of service and many more. Our trainings are targeted for the development of the circuit,” the DOT-XI top honcho said.

Also in the plans are accreditation teams from DOT-XI going to the destinations to help those tourism establishments not yet DOT-accredited.
