Bayanihan,Bakunahan IV set on March 10-12


DAVAO CITY, March 2 (PIA) - The Regional Vaccination Operation Center (RVOC) Davao Region tackled today the staging of the Bayanihan, Bakunahan Part IV with target dates from March 10 to 12. This time, priority age groups are individuals with due second doses and missed doses; remaining priority group A2; remaining 12-17 years old; and booster doses in the health and economic sector.


This Bayanihan Bakunahan Part IV dubbed as "March to Vaccinate" is aimed to bring COVID19 vaccines closer to the homes and workplaces.


More vaccination teams are targeted to be deployed this time to include volunteers from medical societies, civil society organizations, private sectors, and faith-based organizations.


Local vaccination implementers are also advised to form more vaccination teams for mobile vaccination and temporary post vaccination.


Data on vaccination showed that Davao Region has already vaccinated 4,361,158 individuals. Of this number, 3,172,696 or 72.7% were vaccinated with at least one dose while 2,912,470 or 66.8% are fully vaccinated.


However, only 352,755 individuals took their booster or additional dose. In Davao Region, there are still 1,188,462 individuals or 27.3% who are still unvaccinated. (PIA XI/Frances Mae Macapagat)

More NPAs surrender in DavNor

DAVAO DEL NORTE, Nov. 23 (PIA) – More than 30 former members of the Communist Party of the Philippines - New People's Army (CPP-NPA) recently surrendered to government troops in the Province of Davao Del Norte with their firearms turned over to the 10th Infantry AGILA Division of  the Philippine Army. PSA Davao Occidental set to complete labor force, family income surveys  

  MALITA, Davao Occidental, Jan. 28 – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Davao Occidental provincial office is expected to complete its January 2022 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and 2021 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) by end of January this year.   Jessie A. Madulin, PSA Davao Occidental chief statistical specialist, said that his office hired 52 statistical researchers to interview 1,540 sample households from the different barangays of the five municipalities in the province.   The statistical researchers are using the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) during the interviews, Madulin said in a press release.   He added that the researchers have been trained to equip them with the concepts and definition, related knowledge, enumeration strategies and responsibilities to ensure quality of output and compliance to targets and survey requirements.   Madulin explained that the LFS is a nationwide quarterly survey of households conducted by PSA that aims to pr
