DOST to hold CRADLE this March


DAVAO CITY, Feb. 23 (PIA) – The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will be launching their Collaborative Research and Development to Leverage Philippine Economy (CRADLE) program this  March 2022 under the Science for Change Program of the DOST and the 2nd CRADLE Symposium will mark as the Kick Off Activity that will be happening tomorrow, February 24, 2022 at 10:00am live via Zoom and Facebook Live Stream. 


 The event is invite anyone especially those interested in the program in the academe and partner industry.  With the symposium, innovative breakthroughs in terms of wellness even during this time of the pandemic, the impact of the program in the community and environment especially to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) under the CRADLE program shall be showcased.


The CRADLE program aims to activate technological advancement and innovation on research to local companies that will contribute to the Philippine Innovation Ecosystem. It is a collaborative effort of the Academe and the Filipino companies that will be dedicated to their research methods and processes for the improvement of their products and services and to be able to raise the level of the economy in the country.


The 2nd CRADLE bannering the tagline Science in Bloom depicted a notion of research and development outputs that are tested and viable for the community and that will be helpful for partner industries and beneficiaries of the program. 


The R&D institutions and CRADLE under the same program of the DOST are working closely in accelerating innovation in the country and being able to compete with the global demands in terms of science and technology.


The symposium will be joined by DOST Officials, Representatives from Pharmaceutical Companies, Professors from University of the Philippines and Caraga State University and other private or R&D partners that will share their insights and testimony of the impact of the project in their respective field.


The 2nd CRADLE aims to promote the collaborative breakthroughs of R&D partners and the academe that will be seen in their product presentation and technological processes. (PIA XI/Elvira Suico)

DavSur expo features world-class local products, tourist destinations

Completed projects turned over to far-flung villages in DavSur

DAVAO CITY, Dec. 24 (PIA) – The provincial government of Davao del Sur has intensified its turnover of completed projects to provide convenience to the intended beneficiaries in the far-flung areas in the province.   Among the recently turned over was the covered space with stage worth P1,186,886.58 for the Sibulan National High School in the remote barangay of Sibulan in the municipality of Sta. Cruz.   An electrification project with 150-watt solar lights was also provided for the benefit of the barangay residents.   Governor Marc Cagas turned over the projects to the school teaching personnel represented by Isabelito F.
