Laverna Hills Subdivision in Barangay Cabantian also experienced deep flooding with floodwaters nearly reaching the roofs of the houses in the subdivision.
According to Barangay Cabantian Captain Nilo Cabiles an estimated 250 households in Laverna Hills were affected by the flooding. No casualties were reported.
“Initially we sent food packs but their immediate need are medicines for Leptospirosis, so now we’re looking for a supplier where we can get medicines for Leptospirosis,” Cabiles said.
He also said many of the affected residents have returned to their homes.
Captain Cabiles also appealed to public if they can donate clothes such as underwear for the affected residents as most their clothings were soaked wet and damaged during the flooding.
