DAVAO CITY, Oct. 1 (PIA)- The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has placed the province of Davao Oriental under General Community Quarantine starting today October 1 until October 31.
Pursuant to the community quarantine classification the Provincial Government of Davao Oriental has released today (Oct. 1) Executive Order 22 series of 2021 which are guidelines implementing the GCQ in the province.
The new guidelines coincide with the filing of the certificate of candidacy for the coming 2022 national and local elections, with this the EO provided directives on Commission on Elections (Comelec) sanctioned activities.
Under Section 6 of EO 22. Comelec personnel are considered as APOR (Authorized Persons Outside of Residences) in the performance of their duties.
Also considered APOR are the Chairman/President or in their absence the Secretary General or authorized representative of political parties, sectoral party, organization or coalition participating under the party list representation, political aspirants or authorized representative and Comelec authorized companions.
As APORs they are allowed interzonal and intrazonal movement regardless of community quarantine classification subject to the presentation of IDs and purpose of travel.
Other salient points of EO 22 include the prohibition of cockfighting and any forms of gambling. This include actual cockfighting for the purpose of e-sabong or online cockfighting. (PIA/RG Alama)
